A Quote by unknown on beauty, darkness, doubt, earth, fatherhood, grief, happiness, heaven, home, jesus, joy, life, love, meetings, pain, peace, rest, trust, wonder, and work

I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus' love illumined Every dark and fearful glade. And He came Himself to meet me In that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still: Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's Will. There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand; Do it now while life remaineth You shall rest in Jesus' land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come!

A Quote by unknown on rest and soul

in

To every man there openeth A way, and ways, and a way, And the high soul climbs the high way, And the low soul gropes the low, And in between on the misty flats The rest drift to and fro. But to every man there openeth A high way and a low, And every man decideth The way his soul shall go.

A Quote by Dinah Maria Mulock Craik on friendship, heart, kindness, rest, and worth

A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

A Quote by unknown on art, heart, life, and rest

Longing I have another life I long to meet Without which life my life is incomplete. O better self, like me, art thou astray, Striving with all thy heart to find the way To mine; seeking like me, to find the breast On which, alone, can weary heart find rest.

A Quote by unknown on children, day, decisions, doubt, food, heart, jealousy, jobs, laws, life, order, rest, sex, suspicion, and time

You know, everyday I get out of bed and drag myself to the next cup of coffee. I take a sip and the caffeine kicks in. I can focus my eyes again. My brain starts to order the day. I'm up, I'm alive. I'm ready to rock. But the time is coming when I wake up and decide that I'm not getting out of bed. Not for coffee, or food, or sex. If it comes to me, fine. If it won't, fine. No more expectations. The longer I live the less I know. I should know more, I should know the coffee's killing me. You're suspicious of your suspicions? I'm jealous. I'm so jealous. You still have the heart to have doubts. Me? I'm going to lock up a 14 year old kid for what could be the rest of his natural life. I got to do this. This is my job. This is the deal. This is the law. This is my day. I have no doubts or suspicions about it. Heart has nothing to do with it anymore. It's all in the coffee.
