Light

Once I thought I saw you in a crowded hazy bar,
Dancing on the light from star to star.
Far across the moonbeam I know that's who you are,
I saw your brown eyes turning once to fire.

I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream,
You could have been anyone to me.
Before that moment you touched my lips
That perfect feeling when time just slips
Away between us on our foggy trip.

Thus, the photons which constitute a ray of light behave like intelligent human beings: out of all possible curves they always select the one which will take them most quickly to their goal.

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.

The practice of mindfulness begins in the small, remote cave of your unconscious mind and blossoms with the sunlight of your conscious life, reaching far beyond the people and places you can see.

There is neither unwisdom nor ignorance; neither bondage, nor liberation. There is but one pure consciousness.

The best things in life are nearest: breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that.

I am a whole in a flute that the Christ's breath moves through; listen to this music.  

"'Eveything is made of light,' he said, 'and the space between isn't empty.'"

Lead, kindly Light,
amidst the circling gloom.
Lead Thou me on
The night is dark and I am
Far from home.
Lead Thou me on
Keep Thou my feet
I do not ask to see the
Distant scene,
One Step enough for me.

The world would have you agree with its dismal dream of limitation.  But the light would have you soar like the eagle of your sacred visions.
