Have you started to think about what changes you would like to make in 2010? Who do you really want to be? It’s your time; will you take it higher?
Here are some tips on how to make a powerful commitment to becoming who you really want to be.
Start by repeating this affirmation: “I accept the present; I intend the future; I am now becoming who I really want to be.”
1. Stop judging and start committing.
Be willing to stop judging yourself. Where you are currently is just a result of all you have thought and done in the past. If you want a different future, simply commit to life-enhancing changes. For example, if you are hating where you are and thinking only about what you don’t like, you are giving life to exactly what you want to let go of. Bring love in and think about exactly what it is you do want.
2. What changes do you want?
When you are thinking about the changes you want to make in your life, ask yourself these questions:
What do I want? Why do I want it? Am I willing to commit to it? Can I do it? Will I do it? Does this action come from love? How will my life be different afterwards? How will I be different afterwards?
3. What actions can I take today?
Take whatever steps you can take every day and know that whatever you can do is enough — but do what you can do.
4. Try these intenSati moves.
Say out loud, “I intend.” Stand in a single leg balance, with your right foot by your left knee. Touch your fingertips together in front of your heart. Extend your right leg forward as straight as you can to the pose of INTENTION. It’s not how high you get your leg; it’s how straight you can make it. Show your powerful intention to make the changes you’d like to see.
Say out loud, “My future.” Return your right foot to your left knee, remaining in a single leg balance, and extend your arms high and straight above your head in a wide “V” to the pose of POSITIVE EXPECTATION. If you intend and expect the best for your future, it’s a universal law that that’s exactly what you will see.
Now put the two moves together on the right side and say aloud: “I intend my future.” Try this eight times on the right and eight times on the left. Then alternate right and left sides for three minutes, calling up the changes you’d like to make in 2010.
Make the process of creating and living a life you love, in a body you love, a loving promise you make to yourself — and let 2010 be the year, because if not now, when?
