Worried? We all are! I would like to share with you ways to develop powerful habits that will help you become masterful at dealing with worry, inspired by the book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie.
To live a life you love in a body you love, you must be able to get yourself to do the things you really don’t want to do. Seize the day! Don’t procrastinate.
Why is wanting to make a change not always enough? Sometimes it’s because even though you are taking action somewhere deep inside, you don’t believe you will succeed. You have doubts about your willpower or your ability to make the changes you need to make to fulfill your goal.
If you mentally scold yourself when you go off your diet or gain weight — or you can’t lose the weight you want to lose — this post is for you!
We often think that by berating ourselves we’ll get ourselves to do better next time. How is that working for you so far? Has it helped? Probably not.
On September 27, I got married. It was one of the most precious days of my life. In honor of our marriage, I’m dedicating the month of October to love. And I’m giving you an assignment that can transform negative feelings about any situation into an experience of love and happiness.
Anyone can set a goal but how many goals have you set and actually achieved? Setting a goal is a conscious act but achieving a goal is a spiritual act. In order to achieve a goal we have to impress the idea onto our subconscious part of our brain. Our subconscious is where our beliefs are. Once an idea or a thought has become a belief, a thought we have practiced over and over, it will then manifest, but not before that. Once your new thought becomes a belief you are unstoppable.
This month, I’m focusing on is commitment. Have you taken any time recently to stop and ask yourself: Am I really committed to living a life I love? Sit back and take a look and your life, your body, your state of mind, and you will have your answer. Your life is a reflection of all of your thoughts and beliefs. If you really want something and you are committed to it and you have faith, you will have it.
I have a great new exercise for you to try if you are feeling low energy and you can’t get motivated . The first step is to ask yourself if you really want to feel better. Second, rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 on your present state and then pick a number on that scale that you want to move up to and be as specific as you can as to what you would be feeling and acting like if you met that goal. For instance, you might say: I am tired, I don’t feel like doing anything, all I want to do is sit on the couch and watch TV and eat cookies. On a scale of 1-10, I am a 4 because I am not really sad, just feeling low energy and lazy.
I learned a little something about myself this month. I was hired to create workout program with a partner and one of the requirements of being a part of this collaboration was that I had to run 3 miles under 25 minutes and had only 2 weeks to train for it. It may not sound like that big of a goal, but I haven’t gone running in about 10 years so I was nervous. All of these crazy thoughts went through my head like: I can’t do it, I will hurt myself, and it’s going to be too hard. I was really nervous about even going for my first run. I was noticing how absurd — but real– the feeling of fear was. I really wanted to find any reason at all not to do it. I even started thinking, “I don’t want this job anyway.”
I would like to share about one of the hottest topics in the U.S. today — weight loss. How does one lose weight and keep it off? What is the best way to melt away those unwanted pounds of fat that impact the quality of our life from our health, our confidence, our relationships and our self-belief? I am not going to give you advice from a nutritionist point of view. I am not even going to give you advice from a fitness professional point of view. I am going to share with you from my personal experience and my training in spirituality and life coaching.
There are many ways to intensify your workout. Adding an element that you don’t usually add can bring up the calorie expenditure. Here are three of my favorites:
1) Add an empowering affirmation when you’re doing your cardio workout. I love this technique because it engages you on a physical, mental, and emotional level. The biggest challenge we have when training is to stay engaged at a level that will increase our strength and endurance.
