Autumn is approaching here in the Northern Hemisphere. The mornings are getting cooler and the air is crisp. The changing of the seasons is a good time to honor the changes taking place within you.  As you transition from the heat and relaxed mindset of the summer to the cooler days of autumn, it’s a good time to tune in and determine what you want to change in your life and how your yoga practice can aid in your growth.

The other day, when I was entering the rec center for a class, I passed a woman who was just heading out. She had a long blond ponytail, and over her shoulder was a purple yoga bag with her mat strapped underneath. Following close behind her was her adorable “mini me”—a little girl, about 5 or 6, with a long blond ponytail, toting a rolled-up pink yoga mat almost as big as she was.

Is your yoga practice getting a little stale? Maybe you’ve been going to the same class at the same time each week for the past year. Or perhaps you use a video — the same video — every day.
