Whether it’s a free sample at the grocery store or a new brand your best friend just recommended, discovering a fantastic new product is almost like falling in love.
That’s why it felt like Christmas in July when we unwrapped Yuzen’s July “box of Zen,” beautifully packaged and filled with products that are nourishing for the body, soul and planet.
Yuzen, a Boulder, Colo.-based company, makes it easy to find — and fall in love with — the best new eco-friendly products. It’s also an invitation to pause and take a quiet moment to enjoy some of life’s simple pleasures: a hot cup of tea, the smell of fresh flowers or a mouth-watering bite of dark chocolate.
Admittedly, this post comes a bit later than fashionable, but I was waiting on photos from our friends of the first tweetup hosted by @Gaiam, @LOHASTed and @elephantjournal at the @happynoodle. After all, what good is a post about a tweetup without pics?
All in all, our first tweetup was an absolute success!
If you follow @Gaiam on Twitter, you already know by now that we’ll be hosting our first-ever tweetup with LOHAS and Elephant Journal at The Happy Noodle House in Boulder on Tuesday, June 16 from 6-8 p.m.
Katie and I just returned from the annual LOHAS conference in Boulder. If you’re not familiar with LOHAS, it stands for Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability, and is the umbrella for all the companies that make products and offer services for making life better. It was my first time at the LOHAS conference, but I hope it’s not my last. We had a wonderful time interacting with people from all the companies we buy things from on a regular basis, everything from herb tea to environmental organizations to non-allergenic lotions and potions.
