A Quote by Chuang Chou, a.k.a. Chuang Tzu, Chuang Tse Chuang on tao, yin, yang, and possibility

Compare birth with death, compare death with life; compare what is possible with what is not possible and compare what is not possible with what is possible; because there is, there is not, and because there is not, there is.

A Quote by Chuang Chou, a.k.a. Chuang Tzu, Chuang Tse Chuang on tao, yin, yang, and heart

There are no greater adversaries than yin and yang, because nothing in Heaven or on Earth escapes them. But it is not yin and yang that do this, it is your heart that makes it so.

Chuang Tzu (c.360 BC - c. 275 BC)

A Quote by David Whyte on contemplation, freedom, work, soul, psyche, yin, silence, solitude, and empty your cup

Silence is like a cradle holding our endeavors and our will; a silent spaciousness sustains us in our work and at the same time connects us to larger worlds that, in the busyness of our daily struggle to achieve, we have not yet investigated. Silence is the soul's break for freedom.

A Quote by Joao Magueijo on physics, work, cosmology, cosmologist, theoretical physics, clarity, mind, silence, yin, play, travel, explorer, and vision

Thinking can be lateral or "sweaty". For the latter you're better off in an office and following a routine but for the former you have to be "out of your mind", so to speak. So although I recognize the merits of hard work, I find that my work goes stale if I don't go off wandering around the world every few weeks. My friends think I'm a gipsy, but that's when I do "part 1" of my best work.

A Quote by Jim Collins on visionary companies, visionary, yin, yang, both, and and

A visionary company doesn't seek balance between short-term and long-term, for example. It seeks to do well in the short-term and in the long-term. A visionary company doesn't simply balance between idealism and profitability: it seeks to be highly idealistic and highly profitable. A visionary company doesn't simply balance between preserving a tightly held core ideology and stimulating vigorous change and movement; it does both to an extreme. In short, a visionary company doesn't want to blend yin and yang into a grey, indistinguishable circle that is neither highly yin nor highly yang; it aims to be distinctly yin and distinctly yang -- both at the same time, all the time.
