After a while, another voice said: One, two, three, four--

And the universe came into being.

It was wrong to call it a big bang. That would just be noise, and all that noise could create is more noise and a cosmos full of random particles.

Matter exploded into being, apparently as chaos, but in fact as a chord. The ultimate power chord.

Mothering/nurturing is a vital force and process establishing relationships throughout the universe.

You will always exist in the universe in one form or another.

This most beautiful system [the universe] could only proceed from the dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.

Faith is a quality of being: of being in touch with oneself, with life, and with the universe. It is a sense of belonging to one’s community, to one’s country and to the earth. Above all it is a feeling of being grounded in one’s body, in one’s humanity, and in one’s animal nature. It can be all of these things because it is a manifestation of life, an expression of the living force that unites all beings. It is a biological phenomenon and not a psychic creation.

Technology is destructive only in the hands of people who do not realize that they are one and the same process as the universe.

'you can explore the universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and you will not find that person anywhere.

If you go far enough out
you can see the Universe itself,
all the billion light years summed up time
only as a flash, just as lonely, as distant
as a star on a June night
if you go far enough out.

And still, my friend, if you go far enough out
you are only at the beginning

- of yourself.

when you once begin to find God in your soul, presently you will begin to discover him in other men's souls and eventually in all the creatures and creations of a mighty universe

Why not let people differ about their answers to the great mysteries of the Universe?  Let each seek one's own way to the highest, to one's own sense of supreme loyalty in life, one's ideal of life.  Let each philosophy, each worldview bring forth its truth and beauty to a larger perspective, that people may grow in vision, stature and dedication.
