People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.
The light of self-knowledge alone illumines all experiences. It shines by its own light. This inner light appears to be outside and to illumine external objects.
Like a star, I am invisible to most while the light shines brightly. However, during a cycle of darkness, I shine and am sparkling from great distances.
Evil is like a shadow - it has no real substance of its own, it is simply a
lack of light. You cannot cause a shadow to disappear by trying to fight
it, stamp on it, by railing against it, or any other form of emotional or
physical resistance. In order to cause a shadow to disappear, you must
shine light on it.
The original sin is not that we are inherently flawed, born sinners, or imperfect; the original sin is that we do not recognize, realize that each of us is born perfect, exactly as the universe, God intended us to be. We are all perfect. The universe is perfect. Stop struggling against yourself. Accept that you are perfect. When you do, your highest self will shine through.
X. The nature of light is to shine. The way of the river is to return home to its sea. The essence of human is being. For the sage there are no answers to the important questions of existence such as, who am I and why am I here. The sage is silent. The sage is smiling. The sage just IS.
