A Quote by Dalai Lama on heart, science, technology, psyche, responsibility, 11th hour, conscience, and community

Perhaps the most important point is to ensure that science never becomes divorced from the basic human feeling of empathy with our fellow beings. Just as one's fingers can function only in relation to the palm, so scientists must remain aware of their connection to society at large. Science is vitally important, but it is only one finger of the hand of humanity, and its greatest potential can be actualized only so long as we are careful to remember this. Oherwise, we risk losing our sense of priorities. Humanity may end up serving the interests of scientific progress rather than the other way around. Science and technology are powerful tools, but we must decide how best to use them. What matters above all is the motivation that governs the use of science and technology, in which ideally heart and mind are united.

A Quote by Sol Luckman on disaster, consequences, carelessness, and responsibility

I suppose I brought disaster on myself—though if anyone had bothered to warn me of the dire consequences of my actions, I never would have been so careless.

A Quote by Anna Eleanor Roosevelt on choices, responsibility, life, development, and potential

In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility."

A Quote by Daniel Pinchbeck on daniel pinchbeck, 2012, buddhism, buddha, responsibility, and victim

According to Buddhism, each person is a Buddha who has forgotten their original nature.  If we in the pampered West, having grown up with so many advantages, could not claim our own health and our agency, preferring to see ourselves as helpless victims, then who would do it?  Who would take responsibility for the world?

A Quote by Sol Luckman on karma, hologram, holograhic universe, duality, responsibility, creation, co-creation, creativity, source, disharmony, disease, illness, transformation, crisis, and opportunity

Contrary to popular misconception, karma has nothing to do with punishment and reward. It exists as part of our holographic universe’s binary or dualistic operating system only to teach us responsibility for our creations—and all things we experience are our creations. When these creations are out of tune with Source, they often manifest in the disharmony known as disease. This can occur not only in individuals but in entire civilizations. In both cases, disease, which is typically considered a crisis, simultaneously serves as a powerful stimulus for transformation and transcendence.

A Quote by Marian Wright Edelman on teach, love, give, life, purity, responsibility, generation, hope, and obligation

If you as parents cut corners, your children will too. If you lie, they will too. If you spend all your money on yourselves and tithe no portion of it for charities, colleges, churches, synagogues, and civic causes, your children won't either. And if parents snicker at racial and gender jokes, another generation will pass on the poison adults still have not had the courage to snuff out.

A Quote by Dan on responsibility, circumstance, life, consciousness, consciously, health, and happiness

It is better for you to take responsibility for your life as it is, instead of blaming others, or circumstances, for your predicament.  As your eyes open, you'll see that your state of health, happiness, and every circumstance of your life has been, in large part, arranged by you -- consciously or unconsciously.
