A Quote by Viktor E. Frankl on darkness, death, existence, gloom, protest, purpose, questions, spirit, violence, and world

In a last violent protest against the hopelessness of imminent death, I sensed my spirit piercing through the enveloping gloom. I felt it transcend that hopeless, meaningless world, and from somewhere I heard a victorious "Yes" in answer to my question of the existence of an ultimate purpose. At that moment a light was lit in a distant farmhouse, which stood on the horizon as if painted there, in the midst of the miserable gray of a dawning morning in Bavaria. "Et lux in tenebris lucet"-and the light shineth in the darkness.

A Quote by Van Halen on change, life, questions, and time

Contact is all it takes to change your life, to lose your place in time. Contact, asleep or awake, Coming around you may wake up to find questions deep within your eyes, Things you never realized

A Quote by unknown on play and questions

We often hear the playful question: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" A gardener's version might be: "Which came first: the tree or the seed or the cutting?"

A Quote by unknown on day, meaning, mercy, mountains, questions, time, understanding, and zen

You know the Zen question, "The Bodhisattva of Great Mercy [Avalokitesvara, or Kannon] has a thousand hands and a thousand eyes; which is the true eye?" I could not understand this for a long time. But the other day, when I looked at the pine trees bending before the cold blasts from the mountain, I suddenly realized the meaning. You see, all the boughs, branches, twigs, and leaves simultaneously bend to the wind with tremendous vigor.

A Quote by unknown on deed, questions, and responsibility

RESPONSIBILITY Can you put the spider's web in its place, that once has been swept away? Can you put the apple again on the bough, which fell at our feet today? Can you put the lily-cup back on the stem, and cause it to live and grow? Can you mend the butterfly's broken wing, that you crushed with a hasty blow? Can you put the bloom again on the grape, or the grape again on the vine? Can You put the dewdrops back on the flower, and make them sparkle and shine? Can you put the petals back on the rose? If you could, would it smell as sweet? Can you put the flour again in the husk, and show me the ripened wheat? Can you put the kernel back in the nut or the broken egg in its shell? Can you put the honey back in the comb, and cover with wax each cell? Can you put the perfume back in the vase, when once it has sped away? Can you put the corn-silk back on the corn, or the down on the catkins-say? You think that my questions are trifling, well, let me ask you another one: Can a hasty word ever be unsaid, or a deed unkind undone? -Anon.

A Quote by unknown on confusion, consequences, delusion, life, logic, magic, mystery, and questions

Life would have no consequence, If all I saw made perfect sense. Life would not be magical, If all I saw was logical. So I question all I see, To try and solve the mystery. I've been living under delusion, Led astray by my confusion.
