While all people have light, it seems obvious that in possession of the light (understanding of present and future reality) we are not all equal. The only way to obtain new light is to trustfully obey the light of truth already possessed; and, then seek and trust newly inspired insights provided through the Spirit of God.

When one chooses to be directed by his conscientious decisions - thinking and acting according to his divinely inspired ideals - he will be acting for himself with thoughts, words and actions that satisfy his conscience. When unbalanced, a person is likely to become controlled by friends, fashions, public opinion, popular individuals or ideas, carnal lusts of the flesh, or by other externals such as money and things.

Inspiration never arrived when you were searching for it.

Motivation is everything. You can do the work of two people, but you can't be two people. Instead, you have to inspire the next guy down the line and get him to inspire his people.

Many managers know how to get things done through people, to turn people into tools, but not how to direct them, inspire them or motivate them. Leadership provides a scenario to the people they're leading. People are willing to work their butts off if you give them an objective, show them how to reach it, and prove that you mean it through action and consistency.

We should always pray for help, but we should always listen for inspiration and impressions to proceed in ways different from those we may have thought of.

The future of religion is connected with the possibility of developing a faith in the possibilities of human experience and human relationships that will create a vital sense of the solidarity of human interests and inspire action to make that sense a reality.

Without craftsmanship, inspiration is a mere reed shaken in the wind.
