Express yourself completely, Then keep quiet. Be like the forces of nature; When it blows, there is only wind; When it rains, the is only rain; When the clouds pass, the sun shines through.
If you open yourself to the Tao, You are at one with the Tao And you can embody it completely. If you open yourself to insight, You are at one with insight And you can use it completely.
If you open yourself to loss, You are one with loss And you can accept it completely. Open yourself to the Tao, Then trust your natural responses; And everything will fall into place.
Then, without realizing it, you try to improve yourself at the start of each new day; of course, you achieve quite a lot in the course of time. Anyone can do this, it costs nothing and is certainly very helpful. Whoever doesn't know it must learn and find by experience that a quiet conscience makes one strong.
The Buddhists have a story about blind men trying to describe an elephant by feeling it's various parts, and each describes the elephant according to the part he touched. That is the way we can hope to know God.
