Hearing

If we want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.

The things you do not have to say make you rich.

Saying the things you do not have to say weakens your talk.

Hearing the things you do not have to hear dulls your hearing.

And the things you know before you hear them; these are you and the reason you are in the world.

When I talk about having good hearing, I don't mean just listening, but listening to yourself. When I talk about good eyesight, I don't mean just looking, but looking at yourself.

Miracles rest not so much upon healing power coming suddenly near us from afar, but upon our perceptions being made finer, so that for the moment our eyes can see and our ears can hear what has been there around us always.
