I know that this isn't some quote from an old author or philosopher, but it really is amazing to me. And the song it goes to is beautiful. Full credit for this quote goes to Ryan Ross, who is not in the band Panic! at the Disco anymore, but still gave us this line to feed off of. Some quotes are so straight forward, but this line leaves you wondering somehow, yet you know what it means. i love it. I hope you love it as much as I love it.
Borders, governments and the constant need to define ourselves by our differences (human judgement) is the greatest enemy of peace. The awareness that we are all human and the realisation that our greatest similarity is to love and to forgive, is our greatest tool for unity & calm.
