Although there is a universal reality and a universal truth, individual reality and individual truth are merely manipulations you create for yourself out of the data that you choose. True, the data that flows towards any individual is incomplete and each individual builds their reality and truth frameworks from that incomplete data.
The reason humankind has trouble comprehending God is due to the fact that there is a difference between human time and God time. Most humans exist in the present. God exists in the past, present and future simultaneously. Think of it as a three level chess set. Humanity plays on one level and only one level. God plays on all three levels simultaneously. The ramifications for humanity in regards to our knowledge and experience base are profound. They are as profound as our relative limitations.
Many of us search for the answers, but in truth they are all around us. We don't always know how to home in on them. Religion isn't a prerequisite to finding God. Religion is merely a path but there are many paths. Some may try to tell you that their way is the only way but that is more a device created by people who want to attract and keep followers to a religion than an actual fact.
