A Quote by Marvin J. Ashton on blessings, children, god, potential, and strength

As children of God we are somebody. He will build us, mold us, and magnify us if we will but hold our heads up, our arms out, and walk with him. What a great blessing to be created in his image and know our true potential in and through him! What a great blessing to know that in his strength we can do all things!

A Quote by Marvin J. Ashton on friendship and prayer

A Quote by Marvin J. Ashton on destruction, media, mercy, privacy, time, and world

King David was pleading for mercy and cried, ". . . their tongue a sharp sword." (see Psalms 57: 4 & 64:3) In the world today we are victims of many who use their tongues as sharp swords. The misuse of our tongues seems to add intrigue and destruction as the media and private persons indulge in this pastime called bashing. If we follow the Savior's teachings there is no time for the dastardly hobby of bashing instead of building.

With God's help, good cheer permits us to rise above the depressing present or difficult circumstances. It is a process of positive reassurance and reinforcement. It is sunshine when clouds block the light.

A Quote by Marvin J. Ashton on commitment, fatherhood, influence, jesus, spirit, and time

He who invites us to follow will always be out in front of us with His Spirit and influence setting the pace. He has charted and marked the course, opened the gates, and shown the way. He has invited us to come unto Him, and the best time to enjoy His companionship is straightway. We can best get on the course and stay on the course by doing as Jesus did-make a total commitment to do the will of His Father.

Satan is ever present, trying to destroy our glory and remove our crown. One of his most powerful tools is discouragement. Don't let your discouragement make Satan rejoice.
