Don't Talk About The Mountain; Talk To It!

What matters in our lives is not what happens to us; it's how we respond to what happens. We may not have absolute control over how things should go around us or how others should relate with us; but we can always determine how we are going to respond to all of that.

Now in our response to a situation it's best we talk to it than talk about it. There's enough power in our words to change any situation, and if only we would learn to speak forth what we desire to see in a particular situation, that situation will eventually conform to our words.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form , and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. And God said, "let there be light" , and there was light..........
As formless as the earth was, nothing would have happened  if God had kept quiet. The situation remained the same until God spoke. And note He didn't talk about how formless and void the earth was; rather He spoke forth what he wanted to see, and His desire came to pass.
As children of God, we have that same word of creation in our mouths- Both life and death lies in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. This means that we get what we say, whether good or bad. Our negative confessions will make a situation worse, while our positive confessions will make it better.

If the situation you find yourself in is contrary to what God's Word says about you, say the same thing in consent with the Word of God. And before long, that situation will conform to your words. On the other hand if you allow that situation to to put the wrong words in your mouth and they become your confessions, the power in those words will sustaint that situation causing it to prevail.
What situation do you want to change today? Discover what God has said concerning such a situation, in the Bible, and keep saying it by faith till you see the change you expect. And let your actions also be in line with your Words. God bless you.

A Quote by Ebenezer Teigaga on life and attitude

A habit is an established pattern of behaviour acquired through frequent repetition. Eventually, one's habit will form his character and influence his behavioural pattern. Thus he'll become the product of his habits.

You may have a habit you're not happy about, but if you would replace that old habit with another, you'd get rid of the one you don't like.
Anything you do six times consecutively, in the same way, will get into your personality and begin shaping your behavioural pattern.
You could be telling lies as a habit, but if you would tell the truth six consecutive times, you'd get rid of a lying tongue. it applies to other areas as well. God bless you

Those who stand for nothing will fall for anything
Be A Man Or Woman Of Convictions.

As a child of God, you've got to have absolute, non-negotiable convictions that you believe and stand for.
To be a Christian without convictions is to be like a jelly-fish, which can't swim against the sea tide. Anywhere the water flows, the jelly-fish goes.
But when you have convictions, nothing and nobody can stop you. Let the fundamental principles of God's Kingdom which are in His Word, give you a fixed mental attitude that nothing can take away from you. Have something you stand for; that you're known for.
Remember, your convictions will determine your persuit in life; they will determine the friends you keep, the places you go, what you do with your time and what you commit your resources to. If you have convictions, it doesn't matter how many times you may fall, you'll always get up again.

I encourage you to take a pen and paper and list what you really believe about God and the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Let them be your convictions. God bless you.

A Quote by Ebenezer Teigaga on love, life, and prayer

Why do we need to pray?
Is God already not aware of of what's going on? Why must we bring something He already knows of, before Him? Is He not sovereign enough to handle things without us praying?

Sure God is truely sovereign. Infact, He's Almighty and All-knowing. He is the Creator of the whole universe.
But as sovereign as God is, He also respects our choices because, when He willed the earth to man, He also gave him the freedom of choice. He did not construct us as robots so He could manipulate us, but He made us to reason and act by ourselves, so that our relationship with Him would be a genuine one. This means that God does not impose His will on us.

For God to interfere in the afairs of man, He needs man's invitation. This is why He sometimes reveals to warn us concerning things yet to occur; why wouldn't He go ahead to take care of things without telling us?
He tells us so we could do something about it, so we could effect the necessary changes.  How? Through prayer.

As Christians, God has given us the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus to rule and reign in this earth, and to cause every situation and circumstance to conform to His Word spoken concerning us and those around us. We do this by using that authority to declare words of power into the situation we want to change, because Christ has made us kings and priests unto God, and where the word of a king is, there is power.
And as priests, we minister to God on behalf of the world. He made us priests so through us He can touch the world. He also gave us His Holy Spirit to sanctify our words of prayer so they would be acceptable unto Him.
This is why it is very vital for us as Christians not to neglect our role of intercession on behalf of others. Sometimes as the Holy Spirit of God inspires us in our prayers, we get to pray for people and situations we don't even know of. This is why some people experience the divine intervention of God in their situations without they necessarily praying.
The otherwise sometimes happens due to someone's disobedience to God's prompt to pray- we are the salt of the earth.

A Quote by Ebenezer Teigaga on life and love

in

lt is vital in our relationship with others to learn to separate them from their acts. We may not like what they do, but we shouldn't let their actions steal away the love we have for them. We should cherish our relationships with others as to overlook their wrong dids.
When someone does something wrong to us, instead of brooding over the hurt it brings, we should rather brood over what we can do to help them do better the next time.
love disallows hurt, and sees the opportunity to cause a positive change in the source of it.

A Quote by Ebenezer Teigaga on life and love

in

Power does not show off in order to prove itself- it is what it is; but love does. Yet, in love lies the greatest power in the universe.
It is not necessary to walk in pride of who we are, what we have or what we can do- we did not create ourselves. Rather, we ought to humble ourselves in love for others to benefit from our personalities, possesions and abilities, and to aspire to our aspirations. For that is a sure way to manifest the power in us.
