A Quote by Charles M. Province on military inspiration

It is the SOLDIER, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the SOLDIER, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the SOLDIER, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the SOLDIER, not he campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the SOLDIER, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to free trial.
It is the SOLDIER, not the politician,
who has give us the right to vout.
It is the SOLDIER
     who salutes the FLAG,
     who serves under the FLAG,
Whose coffin is draped by the FLAG.

I ask everyone who reads this to sit back and actually think about all of the freedoms we have as Americans and who paid the ultimate price--DEATH--to uphold these freedoms.  Until you serve your country, you will never fully understand the life of a SOLDIER.  This is one thing one must actually do in order to fully undertand everything about why he/she serves and the hardships they endure during peace time and combat.  Forever is the memory of losing a fallen comrade.  The images of combat will forever be etched in a SOLDIER's mind and all the events leading up to and after the fact.
