I'm not saying to be happy you must be married. Nor am I saying that to be happy you need children. I'm saying that if you opt for children - be you man or woman - you have to take care of them.
Somewhere out in this audience may even be someone who will one day follow my footsteps, and preside over the White House as the president's spouse. I wish him well!

I think togetherness is a very important ingredient to family life. It's a cliche and we use it too much but I think for a husband and wife, the way to stay close is to do things together and share.
