You CAN Do a Kettle Bell Workout

I’m back from a vacation in Egypt — with new energy and inspiration. Now that I’m back at the gym, thinking about the challenges workers faced to build those magnificent monuments brings to mind one of my favorite mantras, “I can” … and how this simple statement can motivate you to try new things, like the hot workout buzz that was all around me when I returned from my trip: kettle bells!

This incredible full body workout has won the hearts and glutes of many of my superstar colleagues, and I’m inspired to share it with you. If you are thirsty to try something new that’s both effective and challenging to learn, check out Gaiam’s own Michelle Khai and her amazing kettle bell routines. With her honest passion for what she has created, she will inspire you to move! The workouts are ingenious — and, as I have seen at the Hollywood gyms throughout the last week, very popular.

Challenge yourself and your body with these new moves — and a new thought: “I can.” It’s simple. It’s precise. It’s inspiring. The moment you think “I can,” millions of neurons fire to support your belief, and mobilize for whatever you’re trying to do.

What’s most important to take away from the “I can” lesson is that any result is a perfect outcome, and that you had the courage to try. The confidence and contentment that follows that courage is something you can always tap into.

Try it yourself. Pick something — it can be anything you have been apprehensive to do — and just go there! A new challenging workout can be a great way to practice “I can,” and the kettle bell workout is perfect because it’s so different. It is not enough that I know you can. Go kettle bell crazy and know in your own heart that you can!!
