Keep Up Your Yoga Practice

Oh, how difficult it is to get out of bed on these winter mornings , flop to the floor into Downward Facing Dog , and address the stiffness. Once the morning slumber spell is broken, it all begins to feel right, but there is always that obstacle in your mind to break through.
Starting your practice with a pose that you love to do and that offers very little resistance will be a good entry door. As you get into the practice it is illuminating to add in a pose that is challenging and balancing to your habitual posture. For instance, if you are normally hunched forward it is a good idea to include some daily back bending, even if it is just lying over a bolster. At the end of your practice, a good dose of Savasana is always recommended, along with a little seated meditation .
Peace to all,
