Most often we learn through challenge or even crisis. I would not call it fun, but I would call it a way to experience the “fire of the divine” as it burns away anything that does not support our greatness. In fact, I believe that ALL challenge is an answer to some prayer or internal request. Whether we are looking for deeper relationships, financial freedom, right employment or peace in our times, each experience is the call for us to look into our own consciousness and discover any place that is out of alignment with our divinity.
I am currently on a pilgrimage in France with over 50 people. It has been such a journey. Each member of the leadership team has been called to go deeper into trust and surrender. Each participant has set intentions and has been invited to witness the myriad of ways that we resist our expansion. The challenges have been both dramatic and subtle. However they have appeared, we have all been asking, “What is my learning in this fire?”
I ask you the same question. What is the fire of your experience burning away? What experience or belief needs to be released so that you can express the fullness of your being? What is calling you forward that you have been resisting? What song wants to sing through you? What gift have you been unwilling to share?
3 questions to help you face life’s challenges
Do not take for granted the experiences of your life. You are called to greatness. You are called to bring your light and gifts to this planet to make a difference. I encourage you not to run or hide. Face it. Walk through the fire and with dignity and grace! Ask yourself these three questions:
1. What do I really want?
2. What scares me the most?
3. What lesson must be learned to exhibit my greatness?
Now, do something every day to move you toward your desire; face your fears and make them your friends; embrace your lessons as gifts and step out into your grand design. Your destiny is waiting!
Take a moment to remember this:
Today, I celebrate my learning in the fire of life’s challenges. I am clear that I emerge with strength and power!
