They’re named for our Go Zero carbon offset program — but this crew could go by “Spontaneous Combustion” for how they ROCK even though they’d never played together until the night before their debut at our last company picnic. The Go Zeros had us hoppin’ again last week with some Bob Marley, John Lennon, U2, Police, Steely Dan …  You know the band is good when people start dancing with their coworkers in broad daylight. Check out the video, and scroll down for a couple more photos plus the details on the fabulous FOOD.

Speaking of coworkers, ours include seven who were honored (and hugged) by our founder, Jirka Rysavy, for reaching 5- and 10-year milestones on the Gaiam team.

Gaiam Café serves up a healthy Asia-Pacific feast

Once everyone was groovin’ on the tunes, it was all about the food! Our zero-waste picnic was served on actual plates (the kind you wash, not throw away) with compostable utensils and a strategically placed “Compost Only” bin for scraps, like there were any.

The menu:

Organic Tofu Zucchini Skewers
Beef & Pineapple Skewers
All Natural Grilled Lime Basil Chicken

Served with:

Cabbage Herb Salad with Cilantro, Carrots, Bok Choy, Peanuts & Sweet Chili Vinaigrette
Scallion Jasmine Sticky Rice
Thai Guacamole with Teriyaki Vegetables & Baked Wonton Chips
Warm Walnut Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Big thanks to our HR and Gaiam Café teams

… for another unforgettable Gaiam summer picnic! These days we do business on four continents, but our Gaiam team is still like family.
