Over 65 suitcase-sized bags of children’s clothing have been delivered so far to Burmese youngsters in need, thanks to donations by employees here in our Gaiam offices and other clothing drives by organizations like HOPE.

The donated clothing has been distributed in many of the areas hardest hit by a deadly cyclone earlier this year. Gitameit, a Rangoon-based social organization, was in charge of distributing the donated clothes and was able to get clothing to many small villages in Labutta, Dedaye, Bogalay and Pyapon townships.

We wanted to share some photos of these efforts coming to fruition — and say a public thanks to all of our employees who participated in this important clothing drive.

For more information on relief projects that Gitameit is involved in and donating to organizations that are working to provide relief in Burma, you can visit their aid updates page.
