Creations and Manifestations for the New Year
Happy New Year! Isn’t it wonderful that we all get to start a new time in our lives? This is the perfect time to open to the emerging “you”!
As I was doing my morning practice, I began to envision my new year. During my meditation I called in the life I want to create this year. I don’t like goal-setting and resolutions because I do not believe they create enough synergy for my life. I like the possibilities that come in the forms of what I am creating and manifesting through the expansion of my consciousness. Moving into a new year from that place allows me to fully understand that I am “creating” the life that I live.
Reflections on the past year
If you look back at last year and you are really honest with yourself, you will realize everything that happened, you created. The successes are manifestations of your consciousness and desires. The challenges may reflect beliefs, old patterns and ways of being that no longer serve you.
I had the opportunity to take a three-month sabbatical in 2012 and it really supported me in looking deeply into my choices, my beliefs and the ways I project my thoughts into reality. It has totally changed the way I look at my life and it has become clear to me that “everything” I see and experience mirrors back to me “my” way of being.
Pearls of wisdom
Many great teachers have told us that the world we live in is a reflection of who we are. Here are some thoughts for you to take into your year as you open to the possibility that you can create the life you want in powerful and extraordinary ways.
“Act is the blossom of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruits.” ~ James Allen, from As A Man Thinketh
“Like attracts like. Whatever the conscious mind thinks and believes, the subconscious identically creates.” ~ Brian Adams, from How to Succeed
“By choosing your thoughts, and by selecting which emotional currents you will release and which you will reinforce, you determine the quality of your Light. You determine the effects that you will have upon others, and the nature of the experiences of your life.” ~ Gary Zukav, from Seat of the Soul
“If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive.” ~ Bettie Eadie, from Embraced By the Light

Thank you for sharing these “Pearls of Wisdom” with us, and your affirmations. To achieve any sort of spiritual and personal peace, a person needs to consistently, repeatedly and passionately affirm to themselves that they are worthy, powerful, loved and blessed.
My favorite part of the post however, is when you say this, “If you look back at last year and you are really honest with yourself, you will realize everything that happened, you created.”
Everything that occurs in our lives – every interaction, reaction, or emotion – is the result of a choice we have made. Too often I forget that. Beginning each day in the practice of recognition, forgiveness and love – with deliberate attention to one’s self – is a great way to manifest prosperity and harmony and enter the world of Spirit. I provide many tips and techniques for cultivating this sort of lifestyle or practice in my book Beyond the Ego, but it’s always refreshing to come to blogs such as these and see the practices in action.
Looking forward to your next blog!
