Several months ago, I began working on the development of some new products. As I began to contemplate a name that would encompass the product line, the words “Affirmative Living” came to me. I was really excited, so I shared the concept with my mastermind group. A couple of the people in the group didn’t understand what the phrase meant and asked me to rethink my concept.
I decided to take no action without internal clarity. I spent a lot of time in meditation, asking for an understanding of how to support the people I want to serve. What came to me is that we are living in a time of great change, stress, challenge and acceleration. People are actively seeking new ways to support their peace of mind and clarity of purpose. I did some research and found that today, self-help books, CDs, downloads and online programs are selling at an all-time high. People want to know how to live in ways that support their health and well-being. People want tools that can assist them in moving beyond the challenging condition of being human.
I looked up the two words — “affirmative” and “living” — in the dictionary and the thesaurus. What I found was inspiring:
Definition of affirmative: Expecting the best; a positive attitude; optimistic, favorable.
Definition of living: Active or thriving; vigorous; strong.
After breaking it down to its simplest form, I wrote this statement: “I am committed to supporting people to live an active, thriving and expansive life. I envision a world filled with optimistic people expecting the best and opening to positive life experiences. I am committed to affirmative living!”
This has become my vision statement for the Affirmative Living collection, which is an app with daily affirmations and a meditation CD entitled Passages (supporting health, relationships, financial freedom and purpose).
I don’t know where you are in this moment, but I am wondering if you are living an Affirmative Life filled with optimistic explorations. Are you walking through your life with a positive and expansive point of view? Are you thriving? Do you feel strong?
If the answer is “no” to one or more of these questions, I invite you to explore affirmative living as an option. Choose to bring into your life and awareness people who support your freedom, products and services that uplift and nurture you, and practices that keep you focused on a living your fullest life. By making this kind of commitment, daily, you will have the capacity to change your life. You are here to be creative, joyous and successful. There is nothing in the way of your living a delicious life. I invite you to join me in dedicating ourselves to affirmative living.
Please affirm with me: Today, I am committed to living my life in positive and affirmative ways. I call in my destiny.
