…actually, first we’ll tell you how we selected the winner:
Step 1:We narrowed it down to 6 names from blogs, websites, FB, Twitter and even Myspace (Didn’t know anyone used that site still! – j/k)! Afterward, we wrote them on paper and placed them in our mini recycling bin.
Gaiam is the perfect name for our company. A combination of the words “Gaia” and “I am”, it represents the ideal that we are all part of the single, living entity that is Mother Earth – or “Gaia” as the Minoan civilization called her.
From inner-city schools to homeless shelters to hospitals, Gaiam has donated yoga mats, fitness tools, BalanceBall chairs, bedding, water bottles, cleaning supplies, solar-powered gadgets and more to those in need in Colorado (where Gaiam’s headquarters are located) and other states throughout the U.S.
The FIRM Master Instructors were in town last week for a video shoot at Gaiam’s headquarters in Louisville, Colo.
Instructor Alison Davis-McLain led a free cardio and full body-sculpting class for Gaiam employees. Check out the photos below from her class.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that Lime.com has merged with GaiamLife.com. They have been working on new and continuing yoga projects with Gaiam, as well as visiting with staff for Q&A sessions and individual interviews.
