Train Your Soul for the New Year
Happy Holidays!
In the blink of an eye, one more year will be behind you. In 2008 you can continue on the path you’re on, or you can make a shift. What will you choose?
You know that to make your body stronger you must challenge it. It is the same for willpower and courage. To get more courage, you must face your fears. To increase willpower, you must use the power of your will.
Develop the power of your will by increasing the power of your word. Every time you say you will do something and don’t, your power decreases. If you say “I am going to workout out three times a week” and continually don’t keep your word, you lose trust in yourself. Then you’ll begin to make up reasons why you can’t have what you want — I can’t, I’m too tired, I don’t have enough time — and you believe them.
But most often, you just didn’t do what you said you were going to do — diminishing your personal power.
If you give your power away, you cannot own your life and get what you really want. The power of your will and your word is really all you have to help you change. Increasing your willpower gives you access to living your life in line with your goals. Will you have the courage to take back your power?
Take an honest look at yourself. Every moment of your life, you have a chance to begin anew. Make a commitment this year to telling the truth, living your truth, and developing the willpower and courage to live the life your soul is urging you to live.
Ask yourself every day …
· Did I lie today?
· Am I keeping any secrets?
· Did I blame anyone today for my unhappiness?
· Did I keep my word, and if not did I tell the truth about why I didn’t?
This year I urge you to train yourself like an Olympic athlete. Train your body, tell the truth, and stand for excellence! Take back your power and say “I will live a life I love in a body I love no matter what!” And I promise you if you keep your word it shall be.
Are you ready to train heart, body, and mind? Just say YES. Do your best, stand for excellence and never give up!
Love,
Patricia
