After asking you to vote on four composters we selected from your suggestions, the first round of the Gaiam Compost-Off has come to a close and only two composters remain standing. Here are the results:

Finalists:

Orb Composter – 51% Votes
Earthmaker Composter – 29.5% Votes

Voted Out:

Green Cone Composter – 15% Votes
Wigwam Composter – 4.5% Votes

The remaining finalists will go head-to-head in our Compost-Off, a real-world testing of their features and ability to compost. We’ll capture all of the composting action on video as we put them to the test in the Gaiam Garden.

Will the Orb quickly and easily compost our Gaiam kitchen scraps and garden waste as we roll it around out back? Or will the Earthmaker hold its ground as the strong silent type, letting gravity assist its multi-staged composting approach?

We’ll soon find out, so stay tuned at these locations for updates:
