I'm brand new to Yoga. I've been using my Robert Yee for Beginners DVD for about 2 weeks. I've got low back issues so am very careful not to go to the point of stress or strain. I always feel energized and rejuvenated after my session and can't imagine going a day without at least some poses.

I visited my chiropractor today and she found muscle spasms in my lower back and branching up toward my shoulders. She's been my DC for over a year and is pretty familiar with my back and muscle issues, I'm definitely at type A personality! She thinks that my problems are from repetition actions that are causing a strain, thus the spasms and inflammation. I work in a health food store so I'm constantly stocking shelves, moving stock, etc etc. so it could be a multitude of things causing my problem.

I'm looking for advice.....is my yoga helping or hurting ???

thank you and any advice is appreciated!

I have been using an old Rodney Yee video called "Back Care Yoga for Beginners" with my students for years. It is perfect pace and time and several of the poses are done with a chair which is great for school. Anyway, the video plum wore out and I cannot find a DVD and/or video of it anywhere. Any suggstions? I'm desperate! Thanks a million, susan
