I have grown in my profession but also grown hugely as a person through this experience. Truly, to give selflessly makes you *really* be able to receive graciously too. Since this experience, I have felt more love from everyone around me than I ever did before. I think it's because I'm now able to wholly receive that love. I am doing yoga every day now and I have a mission to become a certified Urban Zen Intigrative Therapist. So, when the program is all laid out, please keep me posted as I really want to follow this "PATH". I really believe in this and I want to see it continue. I am so glad, too, that things could be done more permanently for New Orleans. I am also grateful for my new friends down there!!! I agree with His Holiness in that "the way to eternal happiness is to serve your fellow human being". That's how I felt during this experience and ever since - happy! No offense to the other people in his video..but it is PAINFUL for us to try to heal and never get to just have a healing space for people of color. When we go to buy yoga videos..we don't get to see enough people of color represented. It is hard enough to see yoga being coopted while the the original yoga masters suffer hunger with their people whose counries continue to be exploited. It was so healing for so many of us to finally see an Asian man get represented in this artform. Please start having more people of color in these videos.
