For those of you who haven't heard about this new PBS special Practical Power of Yoga with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman, it's airing on PBS stations nationwide. Just check your local listings for times.

The show is a great way to introduce friends and family to yoga and really emphasizes that yoga is for every body. And it's inspiring if you already have a yoga practice.

You are a beautiful man, not just because of your fitness level or musculature but because your heart is open and your energy flows so freely. I watched your PBS special last night and honestly could not guess your age.

We are beautiful at every age. Our bodies can be strong and beautiful until the day we make our transition. You are living proof.

I loved reading this article and I am finding it more true all the time. If I can follow my breath and let go of my expectations, I hope to also train myself to be "in awe of the subtle".....thank you, Rodney.

Dear Rodney,
How do I take a class with you to show me the correct breathing while I am doing Yoga poses and just in everyday living. I have had spinal cord injury at the neck and have had two operations with 8 screws and titanium plate in my small neck. I'm 5'2" and feel if I get my breathing down the yoga way, that it will truly make a difference in how I move and feel. Could you be so kind as to guide me on my journey of healing better. Many thanks, Namaste ~ Amadis

Yes, you will certainly live in a world of beauty, ease and peace with YOGA. For that you have to train yourself in the yoga way of life.

The following is one of my experiences in this world. I am a yoga enthusiast doing yoga daily at my young age of 83,.I certainly enjoy both yoga and life.

There is a section of people in this world , spread everywhere, who hate to see anyone prosper except themselves, and it may be a news to our readers of this column that the universal popularity and usefulness of yoga system of physical culture has caused much envy, malice and jealousy against such section of people mentioned above.. It is the peculiar characteristic of these type of peaple to entertain ill will towards another simply because of his wrong mind working on yoga.

Yoga being a perfect practical system of physical culture and self culture too, by doing yoga regularly one can attain harmonious development of body, mind and intellect. and evil thoughts as mentioned above will never enter his or her mind . The mind is disciplined through patient practice of yoga converting the mind into a searchlight. Yoga also helps one to practice concentration, and concentration purifies and calms emotions, converts the current of thoughts from bad to good and clarifies ideas.

In this modern world, taking to Yoga and reaping the reward it pays, can be considered as one of the best solutions.
