I have declared this year to be the year where we ask ourselves: “Why am I here? What is my purpose?” So I call this year the year we train like athletes for the “soul” Olympics.

I believe there is a knowing within us that urges us to become who we are longing to become. In order to fulfill on this personal mission we must develop courage, self-love, self respect, and the willingness to live life from the perspective that we are valuable, worthy, and loveable. When we have the courage to begin or continue this journey we keep developing a higher level of self awareness which is the key to deep spiritual growth.

As an athlete we look at all areas of our life and become aware how all the choices we make will impact our performance. It is a lifestyle, a dedication to conscious living and deliberate choosing of the thoughts, words, and actions we are taking daily and how those choices impact the quality of our life. This year we will train our hearts, our bodies, and our minds for peak performance.

Pick something this year you want to transform. Take the time to think of something you will put your heart behind. Something you know you will be deeply proud of for facing and will change the perspective you have about yourself.

One of the things we each have to develop is a belief in ourselves that we can make the changes we want to make. And it begins with the awareness of the change we are standing behind. Then a change in the belief that you can’t do it to the belief that you can.

I suggest you pick something and put your heart and soul into it. The beautiful thing about being focused on one area or one goal is that the courage, the discipline, the willpower you gain will impact every area of your life.

Love,

Patricia
