Isn't it a shame that there is so much hunger in the world and we hear so little about it in the news. Maybe we need to start asking the newcasters to leave the celebrities out of the news and start reporting on issues that we really care about.

Feeding the hungry could start with environmental changes.. global warming has a direct effect on those who farm and raise food for themselves. A Pakistani farmer is wiped out when drastic weather changes cause frost and high winds, destroying banana, eggplant, potato, and other crops. Feed the hungry, but just as important, save the planet.

Hey, Rodney! Tell Albert that we all say happy birthday. You are so right. We are so blessed to have such abundance and we need to share from that to improve the lives of others. It doesn't take a lot to make a difference! BTW, we're still waiting for you to come back to Texas. Last fall's Altus reunion was great ... hope some of you can make the next one. Our best to your folks. (Kay Kamm)

Hi Rod,

Thanks for this post! I've practiced feeding people (as I practice yoga) for a lot of years now. It fills my heart to fill someone else's belly -- which makes me wonder if I'm not getting the better end of the deal.

Namaste,

Rick
