Make a Change for Health, Not Vanity
I just read a book called “Living the Low Carb Life” by Jonny Bowden. What I really liked about it was the way it educated me about sugar and high carbohydrate foods. I have always loved these foods and have fought with myself over and over about how I shouldn’t, but I want to, oh it is ok, just once, never again …. Or, I can burn it off, or, I work out so much I am sure it won’t matter.
That inner chatter is hard to silence. But the times when I ‘ve been able to make the biggest and most difficult changes in my life was when I was inspired and the goal was about not just my vanity, but also my health. And because I wanted to feel really good and believed I could.
I want to feel great. I want to get better every year. So I am giving up refined sugar and starches for 30 days. My official start date was December 28th. Anyone want to join me? If so log on to www.intensati.com and join the bodySati blog. Chat with others who are taking on the same challenge.
Love,
Patricia

I have to agree with you here. Health is more important than vanity. I was recently told I had type 2 diabeties and it reallly knocked me for a loop. I have never been too vain to begin with and I also have had trouble with depression.
I reacently started on the Ti Chi for beginners with David Dorian Ross.
It has improved my outlook on life in general. One of my main problems over the years is the little voice in my head that says I have no “right” to live a healthy , balanced life. I fight this almost daily.
