10 Weeks to a Better Body and More Energy
Spring is around the corner! In Los Angeles where I live, it has already started: flowers slowly starting to bloom again, the birds are chirping louder outside my window (like they are getting very excited for the new season) and I’m starting to feel that flow of energy change, both in me and my clients!
This is the time of year when there is so much “newness” happening that I like to catch that energy and use it for a catalyst to create a resurgent flow of energy for the year! The best thing with creating this flow of energy is that the byproduct can be a bikini bod, more energy, short shorts shape or the confidence that comes along with getting ready for summer, which is coming.
I cannot talk enough about how change takes some time. Starting too many things all at once usually ends in exhaustion and a feeling of “I MUST” instead of wanting, and enjoying the process of change. One of the best ways to overcome the shock and the absolute best way of retaining a habit and sticking to it, is to change slowly and repeat the new positive pattern. My challenge to you is to change something every week, add to the program, and see where it takes you! Will it stick? How is it going to change your mind? Your body? Let’s do it together and please let me know how it goes.
But first, to inspire you to take this 10 week journey with me, take some time to jot down five points which will motivate you to change your life. Maybe you would like to get into those fancy designer jeans you love, improve your tennis or volleyball game, reduce stress, or just get more energy. Starting a new ritual or routine can be demanding, so go back the five motivators once a week and remind yourself of what your goals are. Maybe even put that list on the fridge or in your car so that it is visible at all times.
Week 1 Assignment: Get Moving!
Jumpstart your new life with a brisk walk or hike, or another heart rate raising exercise you like. Just make sure you move for 30-60 minutes every day. I promise you –you’ll feel more energized, your mood will get a positive boost, and you’ll feel calm after you’re done. You release powerful endorphins when you exercise that will improve your mood. After you do your walk or hike, reward yourself with a refreshing shower or a hot relaxing bath afterwards.
Please let me know how it’s going and Live Life Loud!
